Angelo Tatta” e associazione sportiva A.C.D. Turris).

Premio Antonio Giordano
SANTA CROCE DI MAGLIANO - PAG (Premio Antonio Giordano) is an urban art festival that was born with the aim of promoting and spreading the visual arts in all its forms (painting, sculpture, photography, architecture) with particular attention to languages contemporaries, continuing the work of knowledge and experimentation by the Molise artist Antonio Giordano, a multifaceted exponent of the Transavanguardia (sculptor, painter and photographer) who died in 2013. PAG is the promotion and dissemination of the visual arts starting strictly from the street, elected as a privileged place for comparison and exchange of knowledge.
The PAG (Antonio Giordano Prize), in its third edition, selects artists who gravitate to the panorama of urban art nationally and internationally; the event is organized by the "ACAG" (Antonio Giordano Cultural Association) under the patronage of the Municipality of Santa Croce di Magliano (CB); the choice of the most suitable urban spaces, but also more loaded with meaning (abandoned buildings, representative places of the urban center) and the artistic direction of the event are managed by the ACAG; particular attention is paid to the choice of artists or their language, different in culture and training but also in the technique used; the choice falls on each artist precisely on the basis of the language that is believed to be more suitable for the character of the places on which we will then intervene.
This year's edition will host five artists (Francisco Bosoletti, Camilla Falsini, Giulio Vesprini, Guerrilla Spam and Zed1) who will create works on the walls of public and private buildings; five artists who will take turns from week to week. Five walls for five artists, but also spots on small walls, doors and a poster art workshop, open to students, artists and illustrators.
Five weeks that will culminate in the creation of works that will add to those made in the previous two years, enriching the open-air art gallery in formation.
Molise Region - Molise Integrated Project Art and Culture
Antonio Giordano Cultural Association (ACAG)
with the patronage of the Municipality of Santa Croce di Magliano
From August 1 to September 7, Mr. Thoms, Icks, Zed 1 and Alberonero will create the second edition of the "Antonio Giordano Award for Writing and Street Art", creating their works on facades of public and private buildings.
Four appointments, with artists different in language and training, which will culminate in the creation of works that will add to those made the previous year, enriching the open-air art gallery in training.
Santa Croce di Magliano. A graffiti & painting session to remember the artist Antonio Giordano, who suddenly passed away on August 22, 2013.
The appointment is scheduled for 8 and 9 August in Santa Croce di Mogliano, in the frame of an award dedicated to his memory as an exponent of the Transavantgarde, who dedicated his life to art and the teaching of art, addressing all disciplines, from painting to sculpture, from animated cinema to ceramic to mosaic, from metal engraving to stained glass windows, from graphics to photography and wall painting.
«The prize - the organizers say - wants to keep his memory alive and to continue to disseminate the results of his research in the artistic field and he wants to do it starting from the rediscovery of one of his fields of action, that is, from the field of opera of art created in the urban context, whether it be a work of street art or a monument.
Starting from this premise, the award has the further objective of resuming an interrupted speech between the municipality of Santa Croce di Magliano and Street Art, in 1994, with the second and last edition of "Murales in the inhabited center", which he saw the artist Antonio Giordano among the protagonists.
Bronko, Do Mee, Icks, Kunos, Millo, Smyle and Zhanco, leading exponents of Writing and Street Art, will give life to the first edition of the "Antonio Giordano Prize", realizing their works on a wall surface of 160 square meters, in the area of the "Raffaele Capriglione" State Scientific High School.
A two-day event that will culminate, therefore, in the creation of an outdoor art gallery, inspired largely by the artistic production of Antonio Giordano, while promoting, at the same time, the work of "authorized" Writing and Street Art ".
The award is aimed at artists in the field of Writing and Street Art, selected on the national scene.
Award goals :
1. Remember the figure of Antonio Giordano, as an artist and as a person, in an outdoor event and among the people, where he loved being on the street, where he made monuments and murals, but also traveled and dreamed, through the lens of the his camera.
2. Continue a journey started and interrupted between Santa Croce di Magliano and Street Art, after the second and last edition, in 1994, of the event "Murals in the inhabited center", which saw the protagonists as the artist Antonio Giordano, author of one extraordinary murals on the drama of war.
3. Give space to creativity, enhancing the work of Writing and Street Art "authorized" as an art form capable of redeveloping, from an aesthetic point of view, some places in the city.
4. Create a permanent outdoor art gallery, on surfaces made available by the Municipality of Santa Croce di Magliano (CB).
5. Educate young people to respect, protect and safeguard places by assigning specific spaces authorized for free artistic expression.
