The works of the 3rd edition of the Antonio Giordano Prize, the urban art festival born with the aim of promoting and popularizing the visual arts in all its forms, painting, sculpture, photography, began on Saturday 25 June in Santa Croce di Magliano. architecture, with particular attention to contemporary languages, thus continuing the work of knowledge and experimentation by the Molise artist Antonio Giordano, a multifaceted exponent of the Transavanguardia as a sculptor, painter and photographer, who passed away in 2013.
A promotion and popularization of the visual arts starting rigorously from the street, elected as a privileged place for the exchange and exchange of knowledge.
For the third edition, the project saw the selection of artists who gravitate to the panorama of urban art on a national and international level. Francisco Bosoletti, Camilla Falsini, Giulio Vesprini, Guerrilla Spam and Zed1 will create works on the walls of public and private buildings; five artists who will take turns from week to week. Five walls for five artists, but also spots on small spaces, doors and a poster art workshop, open to students, artists and illustrators. Five weeks that will culminate in the creation of works that will add to those made in the previous two years, enriching the open-air art gallery in training.
The choice of the most suitable urban spaces but also more full of meaning as buildings abandoned, representative places of the urban center, it was curated with the artistic direction of the "ACAG" (Antonio Giordano Cultural Association) with the patronage of the Municipality of Santa Croce di Magliano.
